Ranking higher on Google should be viewed as a marathon as opposed to a sprint and, contrary to the archaic thinkers who think that putting a website up is the end of their digital marketing efforts, there are measures you would need in place to assist you in ranking higher. If it sounds like French to you right now, that’s OK, that’s why we’re here. I’ve compiled 5 quick gains that we can do to help you improve website traffic to help you better understand how we do what we do.
1.We write rocking meta descriptions.
Meta descriptions in short are snippets or trailers of the movie to come, appearing on SERP (search engine results page). It should be epic because it has the ability to massively improve your SEO. If done well enough, it should catch the eye of the internet user who would be able to clearly understand the purpose and intention of the page being described, while seeing enough value to click the link. When clicked on enough times, Google will choose your keyword-rich meta description to rank higher than the other websites. In other words, it’s a snippet or preview of treasure. Usually, meta descriptions are 2 sentences and 160 characters in length but, if your message is long you could go over – keeping in mind that Google will only display the first 160 characters. The description of what is viewed on Google needs to be enticing, exciting, and captivating with a call-to-action that wets the taste buds for more.
2. Tried and tested, we test different titles to see which gets the best CTR
A click-through rate is according to SEJ, the percentage of impressions (from your PPC ads) that resulted in a click. When someone searches for something, it shows the intent of them already in search of something they believe would add value to them. CTRs are measured either high or low. High would mean that enough of an audience finds your keywords to be what they searched and Google recognizes your effort because it has left an impression on the mind of the user that your ad has value. Low CTR however means that you would need to work on your campaign a little more. When your ad has a high click-through rate, it could not only mean that people are clicking onto your ad but also, Google could improve your ad ranking – meaning that your ad could appear before the competitors’ ads.
3. Let the emotions go and add some to your titles
Good copy portrays a message – great copy compels you to feel something. Your aim, with every copy, should be to invoke an emotion. Taking it a step further in creating titles that do the same. Be it to inspire, motivate, or generate conversation because of its controversy, emotion is the only thing that would resonate with a user who can’t connect with you other than through your words on their mobile or computer screen.
4. Keywords…important and should be included in your URL
So by now, you are aware of the importance of incorporating keywords into the content on your website. You may even know that including long-tail keywords work better than short words and phrases. What you may not know is that you can include keywords into your URL. It may sound complicated, but we got you covered. It would mean that you would go from www.yourwebsitename.com/something_something_something to www.yourwebsitename.com/keywords.
5. We will add some numbers to your titles, like since est. 2001
